VICA Studio offers mindfulness based meditation audio tracks.

VICA has created a new standard for effective meditation recordings, underscored by a unique, ambient sonic environment. VICA stems from the moniker 'Virtual Calisthenics’: a practice of mindfulness that can be done virtually anywhere.

Guided meditation sessions are led by VICA Mater Guide Joshua Paulton, a Master of Counselling and Clinical Hypnotist. Sessions are used for behaviour modification, self-improvement, habit correction, learning techniques, and simple relaxation. They address themes like relaxation, peace in the workplace, falling asleep, improving air travel, and optimizing performance; in golf, skateboarding, poker, yoga, and other specific activities. VICA also offer instrumental music (without voiceover) - ideal for self-guided meditations, yoga classes, serene background music, and many other uses. Please visit our shop to see the full catalogue.

All of the digital recordings are easily downloadable for use on personal devices, to enjoy privately using headphones, at the time that suits you best.

VICA sessions are approachable, requiring no previous experience, and come with a complimentary Introductory Consultation track which explains how to use them. All you need to do is sit back, listen along, and maximize your time spent on self-care!

How To Use

VICA sessions are engineered for use with headphones, to create unique, immersive sound environments. It’s pretty essential that you use headphones to get the full effect. Have a nice window of time to relax within & turn your phone alerts to silent.

Find a comfortable position that suits your body, for example, reclining in a comfortable chair, or lying down; on a yoga mat, on the floor, or on a bed. While closed, it may help to cover your eyes with an eyemask or t-shirt over the top of your head, to eliminate the distractions of brightness or movement.

When To Use

You can use your VICA sessions as often as you like. Some tracks are for specific occasions, such as before or after a particular activity, and others are more general and universal.

Since you can listen to VICA sessions on your phone or other personal device, you can bring them with you anywhere and meditate when you find the time: for example while travelling, waiting, while chilling at home, before sleeping, or on a break from work!

The brain is constantly emitting different wave frequencies (alpha, beta, delta, or theta). Beta State is awake-alert, Alpha State is awake-relaxed, and Delta State is deep sleep. The Theta brain waves are the brain state of REM sleep, hypnosis, lucid dreaming, or the barely conscious state just before sleep.

VICA recordings naturally guide your brain to emit Theta Waves, for the purpose of relaxing you fully, and for you to give positive suggestions to your subconscious mind that will really take hold. While in the Theta state, you are capable of deep and profound learning, change, pure relaxation, and personal growth.

VICA
The mode of sound we use to access the theta state of brainwaves is known as VicaSync. VicaSync technology offers your brain special frequencies and binaural rhythms that will maximize the effects of your meditation and creates a fresh sound unlike anything else. This is a lot different than most guided meditation recordings, where music often seems like an afterthought. Every VICA session is the result of a close creative collaboration between the Master Guide and Sound Designer. The frequencies are specially tailored to the different stages of your meditation, which gives our tracks their unique quality and accuracy.

Some lingo you may encounter within your VICA sessions.

Mindfulness
A psychological technique that sees you focusing on the present moment and your breathing, for increased relaxation, well-being, health, and peace.

Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness meditation sessions typically feature a guide whose voice helps you progressively relax, making it easier for you to achieve a deeper state of meditation, because you can just follow along with the different stages of the meditation.

Progressive Body Relaxation
A popular technique in which the mind signals to specific muscles, systems, and areas of the body to relax in a progressive order, to ultimately achieve an overall deep relaxation state; a bit like a virtual massage!

Visualization
An exercise of imagining yourself acting out a process, behaviour, or activity virtually, as a means to optimize your success and performance in reality.

Body Field Virtualization
A technique developed by VICA in which you imagine you can see your body’s electromagnetic field and to become more aware of and more present in your body.

Hypnosis
A method that allows you to access your subconscious mind in a state of deep relaxation. VICA is primarily a mindfulness meditation, but incorporates a few techniques of modern hypnosis to amp up the effects. We are pleased to make these powerful tools accessible to many people who do not desire or cannot afford traditional hypnosis (which is conducted live in person with a healthcare professional).

Anchor Conditioning
A technique to condition a response of desired effects during a particular scenario. For example, during meditation you can install an ‘anchor’ that programs your mind to release a feeling of peace and focus whenever you press your thumb to one of your fingers. Later, when you do this action of pressing your thumb to your finger, you will hopefully recall the same feeling of peace and focus.
